surfking I am looking for one of these to fit the 888 I have been in contact with ohlins but they have no stock any more. Nick
Mr.R I've no idea where to find one, but if it's the clamp that goes around the frame tube to mount a steering damper? ...and you end up having one made, I'd be interested in one as well. I was going to weld a lug to my frame, but a nice clamp would be easier to replace/repair in the event of an off. Steve R
dudlington Had the same problem on one of my projects and found this very cheap easy solution. It is a 7/8"clamp from a bicycle handlebar that normally would mount the mirror. Fits perfectly but not for the purists. There are loads of them just pick the size and colour you want. Seems to work perfectly for my bike. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-8-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Mirror-Adaptor-Clamp-On-Mount-Brackets-10mm-Aluminium-/291864670590?hash=item43f47d717e:g:d90AAOSwOdpXzBVZ
Mr.R Cheers for that chap, at that price it's worth a punt. I've just ordered one for my bike. 😎 Steve R
dudlington Glad to be of help. As you say for that price its not worth getting the paper and pencil out to make the drawing , kind of a no brainer. I wrapped some felt tape on the inside of the clamp before doing up the bolts so as not to damage the paint on the frame. Would not want to crack the paint and get the brown marks on the white frame.
