851 fuel pressure reguator problem

Hi!
I try to bring back an old 1991 851 S3 back to road, horrific optical and technical status....salt damages everywhere, "mechanics" had there finger almost on every part of the bike...but I am on a good way- optimised about 150 details already.
New problem: I cannot fire up the motor, because as soon I turn the ignition key on, fuel rins from the wholes below the injectors into the motor....the injection itself does work, but fuel comes from the tubes, which are connected to the furel pressure regulator.
What´s wrong with the regulator, and what is the connection to both intakes good for?

Here are the pics.
When pumping air (compressor) into the intake there´s almost nothing on the outtake, but plenty of air out of the smaller connnection (small hole- I removed the fitting) where the vacuum connection to the zyl. heads is. So I assume the part ist dead (sealings, rust,..?).

Does anyone have a spare available for me? Preferably from Europe?

Did someone eer had problems with this part?

You can still buy them new from Weber, they're used on quite a few fuel injected cars.
...and various Ducati specialist have them listed for sale.

do you mean that when you turn the key on and the pump runs fuel runs out of the fuel injectors into the inlet manifolds?

that would be leaking injectors. not to do with the regulator.

Ok, the new regulator is in. If connected in the right way (sick!) it works fine at the testrun inside the garage. Testrun on the street to be done soon. I also connected the pipes for the vacuum to each head- only vacuum no fuel now! The injectors work all fine!
Dismantled the old furel pressure regulator and saw that the sealing membrane (blue) might be defect. The blue material (rubbber) is going to disapear...that was the main fault why the motor ran full of fuel befor changing this part...
In the meanwhile I mounted the farings, but there is still alot of work to do (1 trompet on the rear intake is missing- got one?, front wheel to paint, rear tire, MR1 dust sealing and new oil, valves and belts, need original cans, so rear footpegs will fit- got one set?....)
