Where can I buy a tacho cable? My usual sources FBF and Proitalia (AMS) don't list anything older than 2001. At 90,031 miles snapped off while riding 1300 mile trip home from South Carolina.

the online parts don't list anything before 2001, but it should still be on the dealer parts system. meaning you'll have to get old school and ring and talk to someone. i know, the horror, right.

851 cable is not available anymore but ordered from AMS a 1994 900SS tachometer cable from which I can use the insert

I fitted a new cable to my 900ss(95 carb model) a few weeks ago and it appeared the same as my 89 851 cable,
