My resto of the SP5 is coming along - frame painted, engine work done. Pic's soon.
The fairing and tank are at the painter but we've discovered a problem with the tank so I need to replace it.
So my question is the SP5 tank the same as the Strada? I also have access to a 900SS SL tank and that looks the same?

pretty much sure the strada and sp5 tank will be the same. ss tank is totally different.

From the outside SP5 and Strada tanks look exactly the same but...
Jasper on here once told me that his original SP5 tank had flats (unused) that would take/position the Corse/race fuel pipe outlets, like those fitted to the carbon race tanks.
As Brad's said the 900 tanks are nothing like the 851/888 tanks either late steel or early alloy styles.
I've a good condition (no dents) 888 Strada tank up in my loft, but it would need repainting as it has a (only one!) scratch on it.
