Are they really fetching that amount ? Last one I saw, which I think was advertised on here sold for well under £10k..

They are worth what people will pay, I would pay more for a nice SP3 over anything (apart from an SPS obv!) as they are my personal favourite.. We will see I suppose, there is a bitsa on ebay too asking for strong money, I think the sub £10k days are long gone but nearly £14k? hmmmm

I've always noted that SP2, 3 and 4's pull pretty much the same sort of money (it's a mater of choice as to which one you desire), but SPS and SP5's pull a bit more depending on which model.
Some seem to think that the SP2's are more powerful, but this comes from a misinformed magasine artical that was reprinted in a book*...
How can any like for like bike kick out any more performance?
The SP2, 3 and 4's all have the same size valves, exhausts systems and cams after all????

*Personally I'm somewhat surprised when a bike journalist actually gets something correct on most occasions.
