johnboy888 Hi All, I'm about to do the 916 throttle cable upgrade to get the fast idle button, and I just wanted to check that changing the cable and adjusting it shouldn't affect the TPS setting - true ? Thanks john
brad black as an aside, if it was a p7 ecu bike, you'd want to turn the ignition on before pressing the idle up button.

johnboy888 Thanks Brad, it's a P8 bike anyway, but I am curious about your suggestion too ? Thanks John
brad black the p8 reads throttle angle. the p7 remembers the lowest voltage it has seen from the tps for each key on and calls that 0.
BARONROJO A funny ECU the P7. It does a TPS reset every time it's switched on. That's the way 59 and 5A work when you perform a TPS reset on the diagnostic tool. I know it's a bit off topic here but I have a question regarding non linear TPS and 59 ECU combination. I know you must NEVER do a TPS reset on these ECUs but if someone has done it before isn't it possible to set zero closing the the butterfly at 0° with the stop screw and then turning the TPS to get a zero reading? Or is it that in this condition zero lies beyond the regulation range of the TPS??? Sorry again for getting monsters S4 and ST4Ss here...
