Real or fake

Hi,
Can anyone help, I have been asked a lot of questions about a full exhaust system I have one ebay,
The carbon cans have (Termnigoni H 851 D) stamped on the stainless steel but the headers have no markings on them, they are of the spegeti type.
One chap is asking as he said their are a lot of fakes!
Any ideas please.

Hey Paul,

if Termnigoni is spelt that way on the system you have, its a FAKE. should be TERMIGNONI.

If I'm not wrong, it's a skorpion (akrapovic) tangential pipe.
Strappings riveted don't look like termi, but it could have been changed after servicing.

Tangential, jesus I will have to get the dictionary out.
I have not long had a set of arrow cans Re-sleeved and they are different again, but the Carbon on them was degrading I think.
John Baines has replied to say he will look at them.
Thanks also for advise on photos, will check out weekend with assistance from my wife.

I have just take a look on my computer (I took a look on my phone this morning).
Photos are bigger and in better quality...

Finally not termi either for the cans.
Termi are welded differently at the junction of barrel and pipe, and this side is incurved "inside". Yours seems round.

Same as mine.
You have a complete termignoni 45-50 tangential exhaust.
Cans are termi too (mines are not)

Yes, white frame, same exhaust pipe, same footpegs, monoposto... perfect😉

These footpegs were made by giocamoto I think.
Same philosophy as the racing footpegs for 851, adapted to the new frame in 1992.
Just before Ducati have the carbon set.

It was not the ones I prefered before I get them, and I finally loved them (plus I bought them new and at very cheap price...)
I just had to make the brake pedal because they came with to gear selector, wich I changed since for a direct one. And as I needed test parts for my 851 racing, my father made me excentric footpegs I used on them to have a better position (they are not on these photos).
