Has anyone any advise or contacts in regard to shipping 851 engine from Blighty to Australia any advise or direction would be appriciated.

I can't help you here Paul,
It's years since I sent something large/heavy abroad, but when I did ( I sent a Bevel crank, rods, oil pump gears and primary cover to Germany to be modified) I went along to the Post Office.
I'd try them and shipping companies if I were you.

My day job means I am shipping to the hardest locations and I have worked with the same same forwarder for 25 years.
He shipped my Corsa from Australia and some wheels went from here to there no problem, he can pick up and pack in a wood case etc
