I have a 2011 848 EVO motor with all the bits required ie, injection system, ECU, wiring harness etc. I was wondering if anyone would know if it would fit into a 1991 851?
Cheers in advance for any suggestions, comments and advise.

Pretty sure you could make it work, question is how much effort you want to put into it. The engine mounts are 2mm larger...that's an easy one.
You have an airbox decision ahead of you, pods or make some kinda configuration that'll work.
The electrics, provided you stay with the engine loom/ancillaries is simple enough once you've worked through it. Although daunting to start unless you know what you are doing.
Seems to me, that the biggest issue is mounting the swing arm. You'll need some assistance from an engineering shop there.
Not impossible, there's a great thread from Duds on here where he put a 1098 in the 851 frame. It's all doable, question is when would you like to be riding and how much you want to spend.

Cheers M,
All very do-able, I'd still prefer to keep original so looking for a complete 851 engine! Good to know an 848 would work, & would be kinda cool to modernise an 851 with an 848 EVO 😁
