I joined and followed this forum back in 2007 and have owned my 851 for 16 years. Unfortunately last
July my beloved 851 suffered an engine failure. The engine has been stripped by V Due Motor Cycles
of Lincoln where it was found that front cylinder piston had failedÂ….. The piston skirt had broken away resulting in a damaged barrel as well as piston.
Due to financial circumstances and I have to sell the 851 as is.The bike is complete but the engine remains stripped. The rest of engine components seem fine and the Crank has been check for balance and cylinder heads and valves are fine .The rest of the bike is in real nice condition having had a major service last winter costing over a thousand pounds. Would prefer to sell as job lot if not then will have to break and go down eBay route.
