851/888 project/crash damaged bike

I am after a project. 851 or 888 based. A corsa would be nice! Box of bits or crash damaged not fussed. What have you got?

SP3 rep with Ritchie engine

Italia Moto in Lincoln may have something of interest for you Jasper - it's a '94 Strada with an SP3 motor prepped by Graeme Ritchie, so they say, with 50mm Termi high levels. Hardly a project as it looks tidy, but maybe the basis for something breathed-upon ?

There's also a crash damaged 888 Strada on e-bay located in Scotland IIRC.

Hi Jasper,

The damaged one I viewed on e-bay last night was advertised as having "been down the road at 40mph" with pictures showing the damage was confined to nearside main fairing only, with what appeared to be replacement silver bar ends.

So this morning, could I find the original advert I viewed ? Could I stuff - but the one below looks similar, it isn't on the bay, and clearly Brigg isn't Scotland, and it's a '93.

However, strangely this ad doesn't show nearside pictures, so may be the same bike, but I can't guarantee it. Link below....and if I find the original ad, I'll post it ! Best of luck meantime.

Well found Stafford, that was the one I couldn't find 24 hrs after first seeing it.
If it's just cosmetic damage, that's not bad considering it's about £1000 to £1500 less than these bikes appear to go for undamaged.

I got a project for you, S3 frame, 888 Racing engine, got an aluminium tank and some nice strada side panels in original colour, i got a set of Race spec wheels as well and a Marzocchi M1R for the front and some billet callipers and and and and and........

Not the cheapest way to go but could be an incredible machine once completed, if interested you can mix and match what you need, give me a call and we can discuss.
