Jafa I am trying to get the parts together to put my bike back to the original 3 hose setup. There was originally ( from the factory ) 1 hose going from the front master cylinder to a splitter block with mounted on the front of the lower triple clamp. 2 hoses then came off the splitter block, one going to each front brake caliper. The splitter block has 3 outlet ports, 2 are used on 851's and the 3rd had a blanking plug in it. If anyone has this blanking plug and would like to sell it, please let me know. If it's still in the splitter, I'll take the splitter and plug. If anyone has the original rubber brake hoses ( 3 hoses front and 1 hose rear, and clutch ) and they're not totally rooted and the crimped on fittings aren't rusted / corroded, I'm interested in buying those too.
wgsvintage May not be exactly what Ducati used, but Goodridge makes a M10x1.0 port plug, part number 314-31 which is found on the bottom of page 65 in their online catalog. Used with a crush washer. Bill http://goodridge.com/wp-content/uplo...ance-Parts.pdf
Jafa Thank you very much Bill. Port plug is the correct name which was escaping me. I typed that in and found exactly what I am looking for on the aftermarket ( in black anodised aluminium ), if I can't get a genuine steel one from a member. The original has a female allen key in the head, rather than a make hex head like the Goodridge one. I'm really hoping to buy a complete front brake hose / splitter setup from someone who has pulled it all off and fitted aftermarket twin braided brake lines. Thanks again Bill 😄
wgsvintage I was mentally picturing the female allen one myself. Is that plug a race part? Those hose splitters go all the way back to bevels, but I've never seen anything but the brake light switch in that third hole. Maybe Ian Gowanloch might have one? Bill
