There can't possibly be a more sorted x low-mileage '92 Strada in existence.
The bike has been completely gone through during my ownership (since 11/2011 @ 714 miles). All work has been performed by either 'Northern Ohio Ducati & Triumph' or 'Pro Italia'. Invoices available to support.
Per attached dyno the engine is producing an average of 86.41 rwhp. Using a normal loss factor of 12% this would translate to approximately 97 h.p. at the engine. Ducati claimed the '92 Strada produced 93 h.p. @ 9,000 rpm. For argument sake, if you assumed the engine was in fact producing 93 h.p. then, using these dyno results, the loss factor would need to be in the neighborhood of 7%, which is far too low. Bottom line is that this 851 is at, or better than, claimed h.p. with only 1,410 miles on the engine...So likely more to come.
It is ready to ride and/or show.
I purchase my first Ducati in 1992 (a 1992 907 i.e.) and my first 851 in 1993 (a (new) 1992 Strada) . Simply put, I am now passed the 'Superbike' stage of my riding career.
