it's actually 129.96 rwhp, and Yes, bevan is an awesome mechanic, it has carillos, wiseco pistons SPS cams, big valves, ported, flowed and cc'ed heads with a significantly lightened reciprocating bottom end mass.
It also has bored 748R injection with larger 12 port injectors, varireg for adjustable fuel pressure and a custom quite large carbon fibre pre pre airbox.
oh, and it's still 888cc.
The dyno's it's been on (yes, 2 different ones) are both considered accurate and operated by knowledgeable tuners, max HP was achieved at a self imposed 10,400 rpm and the map indicates raising the limit will raise peak hp accordingly. It runs an air cleaner as well.
So there you have it, you don't have to stroke it, install fragile race components or claim to know every well pedigreed ducati tuner on the continent personally, careful choices when buying components, consideration of other parts of your "recipe" and careful assembly combined with cash can yield genuine, useable horsepower, not the bench racing dribble that some purport to have yet no one ever sees......
And i did it all with hard work and saving my pennies
not helping others rip off bikers, stealing my kids compensation nest egg or being a hypocrite talking out the side of my mouth in front of somebody and then disrespecting them when they're not there, and you know who you are, don't you.
