FS: 2000 Ducati 996 Monoposto

2000 Ducati 996 monoposto. One owner, I bought this bike new in June, 2000. 7242 miles, clean title, never down. Mostly stock/original except for a single injector Ultimap Um222 chip with cored stock exhaust. Original exhaust and chip also available. One scratch near tail light as shown in pics, otherwise just typical wear from ~7200 miles of use. New belts last summer, new fuel pump and battery last month. Both keys, the owner's manual, booklets, and tool kit are still with the bike. It spends the offseason in my heated basement.

The 996 didn't sell last fall and is now safely tucked away in heated storage, awaiting warmer weather so it can be pulled back out and sold to finance my quest for an 851. I may be jumping the gun posting it this early... It could probably be moved now, but if it snows it'll stay where it is until things clear up.

I also have a Sargent seat (with yellow piping) and a set of unused Termi slip ons (aluminum). The catch is the Termis are intended for a 998 and have been sized down on the inlet to fit the stock 996 midpipe. I fit them to the bike and discovered the left muffler sits at a slightly skewed angle. I pulled them off until I had time to figure out how to line it up, but that never happened. Also, they will need a 998 style heat shield.

New price is $6400. I would also consider a trade for a similar condition '91 or maybe '92 851. Project bikes might be considered if they are priced accordingly.
