Just to tag on to this, I now own the original bike in question and it has a 008b chip installed. This is fine in theory as it's got the cut airbox lid and I'm going back to open pipes, so should be all good.
Thing is, before I stripped it down I had a couple of rides and the rev limiter kicked in at 8k, and I thought it should be 10k as standard. It was quite a sharp cut off too. Has anyone seen this before?
