I've been working on my 1992 Ducati 851 Project for about 3 years. It's been a combination of custom fabricating brackets out of aluminum, carbon fiber, and combing the internet for parts from all the globe.
I have found a number of Corse parts that I will upload photos of as I get them fitted. The exhaust system consists of a 50mm Ducati SP5 manifold, Fast By Ferracci 50mm carbon fiber silencers, and I switched the end caps for a pair of SIL Moto Roche end caps so I can fit a custom made end bracket to them.
The fuel injection module is upgraded to a Marelli P8 module from a Moto Guzzi 1100 California, and to allow for the engine to run, I temporarily installed a stock oem 916 P8 chip.
I switched out the stock fixed rear brake set up for a 900sp rear floating brake arrangement. Since the photo was taken, I installed a proper longer blue/red brake line.
An aluminum Corse rear subframe has been fitted, and I plan on having the front upper subframe fabricated in aluminum as well.
I have a factory 888 solo seat that I reinforced with carbon/kevlar under the seat section to prevent stress cracks.
I fitted a new 11,000 rpm tachometer to replace faded 10,000 rpm tachometer. I won't be revving the engine to 11,000, but it's mostly for the way of display purposes and being unique.
I also have 906cc piston kit I will be fitting eventually too, along with Carrillo connecting rods, and balanced crankshaft.
I also fitted cast iron floating front brake rotors from a 900sp.
The first photo was the day I received the 851 from the transport truck from Iowa all the way to California.
