Good question for a street set up. My street 748/853 has those calipers, a Brembo radial master, and Brake Tech iron rotors - strong brakes. I normally use Ferodo pads, and I guess Ferodo considers those calipers as race quality items because the only organic pads they make in that configuration is in their CP1 compound, which is seriously good for racing. I've used a set of those CP1 pads for two years now on that bike and I've decided, for me anyway, that that compound is just too initially aggressive for street use, where a panic grab of the brakes is always a possibility. Ferodo Platinum compound would be my first street compound choice, but they don't make it in that pad configuration. I've heard good things about the basic Galfer FD-1054 organic street compound, and they do make pads for those calipers in that compound, so I have just ordered a couple sets of the Galfer #FD262G1054 pads. I'll save the Ferodo CP1's for track days and post my opinion of the Galfers here after a few rides.

Ok, I can now say I'm very happy with the Galfer #FD262G1054 pads and think they make a good choice for a street pad with those calipers and iron rotors. I would say they compare very well with Ferodo's Platinum compound. Excellent modulation.

Thanks Bill that'll be useful. Looking for a supplier I came across this chart on the Galfer site which may be useful to others too - for me a picture is worth way more than 1000 words!

I've tried searching for those pads, but they are not easy to find. If possible could you please post a link or say where you got them from. Doh, I've just seen that you are in the USofA so if anyone has a UK/EU based supplier link could you please oblige.

I ordered over the phone from this place (http://www.hardracing.com/) because they were in the East, but then the pads were shipped from California anyway. They say they ship world wide if you can't find them closer to home. Mailing to the U.K. from here isn't too bad.
