Sorry but that is the dumbest thing I have seen for a while. To begin with those spoons will cut the crisp edges of the ports (use a real hone with rigid stones). Won't work with anything that has Nikasil plating!

There is "do-it-yourself" and then there are things that shouldn't be done IMHO

ichi is well known on the cafe racer forums for the humorous poking of fun at the idiots the scene allegedly attracts. guess it depends if you like ironic humour or not. i don't see the point wasting time watching it. it's a bit like that kath and kim tv show.

My spoons kept loosing spring tention due to the heat generated. If I make carbon fibre doublers on the spoon handle it might solve the issue. I found crusher dust works well as the abrasive. And it comes in varisize, a new one size fits all tech advance.

I made special spring steel spoons but don't use his method. I attached regular honing stones onto them. It is really quick that way, only takes about 4 hours to remove .0006 MM.

P.S. I probably shouldn't let this "trick" out but I find that using salt and baking soda hones much better than tooth paste.

Brilliant, sporks of coarse. That way the large grit of the crusher dust could be wedged in between the prongs. The blue tac I used just wouldn't hold as I got some serious crank rotation going on. Then we could flip then around to use the baking soda on on the back of the spoon head. Any suggestions for an adhesive substrate?
I do have a minor concern regarading the velocities achived at the spoon/bore wall interface. I've been reading about the CERN large Hadron collider, and I have concerns about baking powder particles becoming detached and smacking into other detatached particles, resulting in small bkack holes appearing which may cause pitting in my cross hatching. Singularities are tricky things to deal with, and a gravitron suppressor won't fit neatly onto the spork handle.
