Hi guys,

Apologies for using foul or fowl (sorry couldn't resist) language but I am wondering if anyone on this site also owns a benelli tornado.

I have recently sold my last race bike which means another spot in the garage 😱

I like unique bikes and try not to buy multiples of the same model, don't ask me why I must be a bit of a bike slut.

I also am not a fan of modern electrics, don't get me wrong they are amazingly easy to ride quickly and are the ducks nuts but just don't flick my switch.

I have liked the benelli design since they came out and I have been eyeing them over in the UK for some time now.

They never came into New Zealand and to be fair I have never actually seen one in the flesh.

My only experience is through the internet. That been said I don't really want to join a benelli forum. I am hoping someone on here may also own one and can give me an unbiased view.

I have read how some say they are unreliable but some say that about Ducati's. Other than the factory upgrades is there anything else to be aware off.

My fear is if I have issues there is no back up here unlike the UK.

I look forward to the thoughts of the forum.

My impression. Nice riding position. Similar to a 916/996.
Not enough power, the Triumph triples have more go.
Very beautiful looking. I love it.
They did make a Limited version. Carbon bodywork, Ohlins shock/forks, mag wheels, and a dry clutch. But no motor mods, so no more power.

I was going to buy one, but since the Chinese company bought them, replacement parts are not available.

Thanks for the reply, yea the spare parts or lack thereof is a little worrying.

Its a real eyeopener that you think the Triumph triples have more punch.

There are quite a few RS models in the UK for sale.

I would love to test ride one.

I had a look at Aus ebay but could only see TNT's.
