Nice one, fun track too. Where's the gravel rash from?

Great track indeed, short but very technical. Luis Salom (Moto2) showed us how to tackle it.

The rash was caused by missing my braking point, decided to go straight ahead and ended in the gravel. Minor damage to the fairings and my ego 😉

Very Very nice riding--- You look like you are having fun out there!!!!! Great to see many of you are thrashing your bikes. There is such a great feel about the 888 when on the track.

I tracked all of my 888's since '96 and they are way way fun and friendly to ride.

I would love to see more track pictures from forum members. I really like the video's from you guys who are riding the TT's- just fantastic you putting these bike out there .

My avatar is from 1996 😁--- we rode with our butts off the seat back then 😱.

Now I ride a bit different on a salvaged D16--- old dog newer tricks----

Not to highjack- I have said before that I believe that the D16 is the true heir of the 888 Corse so perhaps this is not too intruding----This past October at 64

Great response--- I am sorry if I high jacked the thread but it is great to see these bikes out on the track. I wish I had a recent one of me on the 888 Corse but ever since I got the salvaged D16 I have been thrashing it --figuring out how to ride it--- so so different then riding the 888 Corse.

A bit rare for track days?
I have an 900SSIE, 748R and jsut bought an 848 for trackdays.

I cannot help myself-- I bought it to put on the track- plus I wanted to take one apart and this one needed work. I stripped it down and then added traction control so I had to get into the wire harness. Just a very cool motor- cool to work on and in some ways more simple then an 888 in a surprising way.

I remember that in '96 my Corse was pretty rare for track days-- but I love to ride my bikes on the track. If my bikes are built for the track I cannot just have them as display items.

Plus -I like restoring them and have been doing it since '96 so I know I can fix them if they fall.

one picture is taken at the Belgium Track at Zolder, the second one in the Netherlands, Zandvoort (I had to use DB killers to be allowed to drive there 😉 )

my 748R has done over 10000 km on track the latest yeras with out trouble. Time for something eles (848)
I use to bring my 888 to track sometimes but it would cost a lot fix if I crasch compared to fix a newer model.
