mr.duc
It was a hard work. Is not a SP, but I did my best to upgrade everything to Corse.

Superb
love it 100%
how long did it take to get all parts ?
mr.duc
3-4 years.
I have the bike since 1997 and started to collect parts in 2008. I was already done in 2010 but some nice guys broke in my garage and disassembled (stole) the most of the "precious" parts and I had to restart my built.
Since then I never rode my bike again, unfortunately.

Love it, Avery nice bike

Beautiful, you should be proud of yourself.
Well done
mr.duc
thanks guys. feels good.
do you think my bike is salable?
cheers Sage

Nice bike !!
Exchange the fork between your two bikes.
It will be more corresponding to the look of Roche's Factory 91 and Factory 93 for the other one π
mr.duc
sorry the bike behind belongs to my friend.

Beautiful bike Sage - you have done such a nice build - can you tell us about the engine?

Try anyway...May be he will not see π
OK, I think I know where is the exit door...π

Shure, this nice one will be disposable - is it streetlegal in germany?
mr.duc
ok, first the engine: maybe you will be disappointed, but the engine has been revised to and has on dyno 125 hp. it is a 851 engine with sp throttle body(four injectors) pistal high compression pistons. the most of the motorparts as gear wheels (except gearbox) are lightened, anti hopping clutch and g-outlet cams. p8 ecu etc.
street legal: yes passed this year until 2016

beautiful bike!!
mr.duc
During the last 2 years I collected all parts which are needed to upgrade the motor to 926, means corsa pistons, cylinders, heads, corsa valves, titanium conrod, 431 g inlet cams. all brand new, but stopped the project.
last work was the rework of the frame. it is now like the corsa frame wtih the diagonal reinforcements.
that's the reason I thinking about looking for a new owner, who probably feels the same as I do for my bike....π
erthmvr888
no disappointment @ 125hp nice nice niceπ
Mr.R
I always find this part hard to understand? π³
I also spend lots of time gathering together parts to build a hot/tuned and lightened model, but then I usually keep it to enjoy for years...
I've owned my 900SS Bevel for 35 and my 851 for 16 years now, I know that some bikes have to be sold for other reasons, but all that effort and to then put it up for sale?
Why go to all that trouble/effort and then put it up for sale, when you could have just gone out and bought a more powerful later model, then swapped it for the latest "Hot Poop" model every year or so?
P.S. 125 BHP is very impressive for a 851cc motor, is that power at the rear wheel of a "guesstimate" of the crank output?
"G" exhaust/outlet cams will push the revs up high, at what revs is it making it's peak power, what valve sizes, inlet cams are you using and at what timing
I'm genuinely interested here as I build/tune my own motors, so I'm keen to learn any secrets.
Steve R
mr.duc
Steve, I understand your point that it is hard to understand, why I am going that way. but in every live things and priorities changes. In my case it is not a question of money but a question of sense. I already explained, that since my bike was finished I never rode it again. I enjoyed very much this project and felt a lot of satisfaction to see the result. especially after the incident in 2010. If I had the opportunity to put it in my living room I would do it....but one thing is for sure...I am not anymore able to drive it.
But I think that is not the right place to discuss that. accept that.
the result of 125hp is the result out of the customized programming and dyno run. it's crank hp.
please notice that I didn't build and made the mods on the motor. I can tell you what is in but not what has been improved or changed in details.
I can doubt everything, also the dyno testing. there are so many parameter you have to consider as air pressure, temperature, calibration of the dyno etc.
fact is the 851is fast but difficult to contol for me. I am not such a good driver as you probably are. high revs are required, you are right. everything over 7k is nice but everything below takes getting used. especially on street. but I was expecting that as all modification were done for track as the corsa bikes are.
beside that Steve,
you are always asking the same questions when somebody is coming up with engine hp output. I think you have got the same answers. (see mrc.engr comments on his mods on his 888 140hp, in 2012). don't you think you have all you need to build your engines with the required power? the facts are the same....the right hardware and the right software. there no secret.
thanks for your comments. I think I stop it here.

I've not asked owt yet !

Bike looks great, a job well done.
Are those Ohlins FG43 ?
What is the tacho / rev counter from ?
And what size is the rear spindle, 25mm. Did you use St4 swingarm adjusters ?
So did you make your own under slung rear brake hanger ?
Hope you can answer.
Phil
mr.duc
hi Phil,
the rev counter is from 996 with a custom made disc. the speedo is a det80. forks are Road&Track FG43, yes.
swingarm is original racing ducati, much longer. the height adjuster is from 888sp. spindle is 25mm. the hanger for rear brake is cnc machined and in carbon.
hope this helps.
