Fuel cap

I know this is a JHP carbon fuel cap which has been fine since 1996, looks like it is two parts bonded together that have now come apart, I doubt I will Find a genuine replacement, any suggestions on sticking it back together bearing in mind that its in the fuel tank, my first thoughts was some form of resin and do I have to buy a litre.

Hi Doug,

I've some epoxy and catalyst left over from when I repaired my carbon fairing, rear hugger's and strengthened my under tray, you're welcome to a couple of small pots of it FOC.
But I'm not sure how it would stand up to fuel though?
Having said that I'm pretty sure that you could use JB Weld, as the people who make Fuel Cell composite tanks recommend it for sealing pin holes.

Thanks for the info and the epoxy offer, I will look into the JB weld tomorrow but may take you up on your offer. Will let you know the outcome.
