Hello All,
New Member Here. Just Posted A Sale Thread On 'chat' But Wanted To Quickly Relay A Fun Experience In Bologna.
I Went To The Factory A Couple Years Ago. I Arrived Early And Our 'group' Was Very Small. Our Guide/Translater Asked Us What We Had So She Could Tell The Line Workers. Well, I Gotta Tell Ya - The Factory Workers Were Jazzed That I Had A 996SPS and An SP3 On The Street In America! They Love To Hear About People Using Them!
Ride 'em Don't Hide 'em!

Hi guys, also a new member (Australia) - wondering if you know who's in charge of the 851 archives at the factory? I've recently bought one, and after waiting since Feb, the factory say they are unable to identify it (by its VIN & Engine numbers). It was sent to USA (back then, as new) but all the factory can tell us is that they dont know the bike and that it may have been sent as a race bike. It has a Texas title. I have a copy of the very first bill of sale, to a member of the public, which doesnt even include any I.D. numbers - just a date and a price.
The engine number is HB6L001329.
The VIN is ZDM1HB6RXLB001247.
Unknown to "the factory"? Too hard to believe!
I would love to know more.. about how many were imported into USA.. if a register exists of exactly what was sent.. from anyone who has one with an engine number close to mine (l know the owners of #HB6L001344 and HB6L001345) but with a lower number.
