To all the northern hemisphere bro's being absolutely hammered by Mother Nature, hang in there it won't last forever. Our south is doing the annual flame on routine. Makes me wonder what our kids are in for.

Rather windy week in Wales

150 year old silver fir decided to lay down along the length of our drive..

Almost cleared now and just the rootball/stump weighs in excess of 15t and needed a 5t winch + JCB just to shuffle it 2m to the side of the drive yesterday, extra tracked digger on site today so we should get it shifted. 20 minutes each cut through the trunk with two saws in rotation so we dont cook the chain

No power lines or phone lines which has been nice im many ways as we have wood heating + gas cooking, best of all we have two teenage lads who have become excellent company now that we are mostly all in one room and the internet is down😁

More clearing and more wind and rain today

Wow that was one cool tree. Pity it's down.
Just spent 5 hrs on the chain saw myself cleaning fallen trees from strong winds. It's 36C, perfect weather for it. Problem is the bread on my sandwhich dried out before I could eat it all. 😄
It good to here your making the most of no internet with your boys. I recently noticed my boy who is 10, spends loads of time on electronic media. He goes from laptop to iPhone to Xbox. If he wasn't gymnastic training 15 hrs a week I'd be concerned.
