Do you have the parts lists to go with the diagrams?
I really need the part number for the speedometer - Item 29 on Tav.19. I think its 40140051A for a kph type.
Also need number of Part 16 on Tav.5 (rubber boot over oil pressure switch).

I thought I had tracked down a Strada parts manual through a guy in Massachusetts who's selling a '91 Strada through eBay and who was going to throw in the parts manual (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=180308846369). He was good enough to email me a copy but it turned out to be the same doc.nu copy I already have and that others have for the Racing model.

An outfit in the UK (www.classic-motorcycles.co.uk/) is also confirming for me that the manual that they are peddling is for a complete bike. Their advert says it is only 54 pages which is a bit light for the manuals - usually over 100 pages.

I went to Gowanloch Motorcycle Eng'g here in Sydney yesterday trying to get a replacement kph speedometer (mine is the N. American mph version). The guys there have about 3 or 4 parts manuals for the 851s and they are all subtly different so beware. I bought on for the '92 model but of course, it's different in bodywork and road parts (Cat. no. 915.100.71D Issued 11.91).

I've ordered the parts manual from Classic-Motorcycles.co.uk (which was not too expensive) but as it says it's a parts manual for 851 '89-'92 bi-posto models I'm not sure what it will have in it. I'll wait till I get it then see if I can get some PDFs which I can upload.

Query: can someone in Europe tell me what the 851 Strada speedometer reads up to in kph. Is it 240kph or 270kph or some other value? The part number for the speedo I'm after is 401.400.11A but this is now listed as obsolete by Ducati, i.e. no longer made and no stock. I have found a new speedo which reads to 240kph but it is part number 401.400.51A and I think that that is for the 750/900SS or maybe even Monsters. Mine reads to 160mph which is nearly 260kph so I think the 270kph version is closer but again, a replacement speedo might also require a replacement drive unit.

I might end up just making up a sticker to put over the face of the speedo but would prefer the real thing.

Dear All,

I now have a '91 Strada parts catalogue via Classic-Motorcycles. At last! The manual they are selling as a '89-'92 Strada manual is actually a '91 Strada manual so is not applicable to all models - as we are so well aware!

Unfortunately, it is printed half size, i.e. 2 pages per A4 page so the text is not always clear but it is what it is: part no: 915.100.71C issued 12-90. This is the words part to Remquo's drawings.

Anybody need particular pages please advise and I will copy and up-load them.

851 part numbers

Hi, I have the picture part downloaded but I need the part numbers. Was anyone going to upload this particular part of the manual? I'm in Canada and if anyone in Europe thinks it's hard to get info on these bikes, they should try over here. I'll order it if I have to but this is starting to get expensive...welcome to older Ducs eh! Ciao

I guess I should be more specific, I see some parts catalogues have been uploaded. I've downloaded the 851 S '91 parts manual that starts this thread..The numbers for the 91 manual uploaded here are for the 851 Racing '91, different parts. So if anyone has the proper download, I'd appreciate it.

If not what I'm looking for is the rear brake switch, page 25, item 19. It is the pressure type switch that sits on top of the master cylinder. Thanks.

I think its the same as a Pantah switch, I'll see if I can get a part number for you, but I'm pretty sure its the same for 900ss as well, Pt No 076954114. I think they are about AUS$50

Thanks, I actually checked that as I also own a Pantah, my dealer can get these. Just wanted to make sure as alot of parts fit multiple bikes. I appreciate the quick reply.

1989-90 Parts manual

Phil,

I understand your the man re the parts fiches?
I'm after one for 89-90 strada, can you help?
The best I have found is a pdf named fiches851 on this site with pics only (IPB's) no part numbers.
