dims on a race alloy bat box

hi all not been about for abit , car,nt say why official secrets act and all that 😎 , i,m off to the laser cutter again and am looking for the dims on the alloy batt box used on the bott bikes , i,m getting a few different parts cut for the 888,s and have a carbon part but i,m looking for the alloy one to copy as i,m "attempting " to build a rep of the bike with the mods from the papers of that time , any help would be appreciated and any parts that anyone is after in laser cut alloy/steel/stainless please pm me and we might be able to sort it out 😏

Hi Spike,
Is this the one you're talking about? P/N 82910251A. Before you make one, you might check with Ian Gowanloch (where I got this one) as he puts one up occasionally. It's a little complicated, do you want just the basic overall dimensions?

I have one of those and it does not fit correctly on a corse frame- I believe it may be for a '89 kit bike or a Lucchinelli replica- but do not hold me to that.

This is the box for the '90 Customer Racing or RRR if that is what Spike is trying to replicate- not sure

right chaps i will get the part no i need , yes it is part of the kit provided for the bott bikes but lugs will need welding onto the frame to accomadate the fitment ,

hey Spike, just talking to uncle Ian Gowenloch, I'm after a 42mm Valve for a 450 springer head , sorry mate he's got none.
Next time your chatting to Pete, could you mention I now have a stainless fuel cap which I have suspended from the ceiling with string while I wait to fit everything onto it. 😄 He'll know what I'm on about.

Spike- if you are going to weld on the lug then using the available LR version will save you fabrication time. Will be interesting what the part number you need. I have never seen the later aluminum boxes for sale- ever. Every parted out RRR I knew about through the years never had the box. I ended up using the carbon version on my '91 factory bike.

the one i was lookig at was the one from the race parts as in bill and guy but if they can be done then dims for the rrr one even from drawings could lead to them being fabricated , just got to see how the " dimple" round the holes comes out , when i have guys to look at then the process/finished article should look the same ?
