Hi Guys, just thought I'd comment on some new Draconian laws that came in this week, which has thrown our state back several centuries in human rights and freedom.
Over the last few years due to our governing system and laws, slowly but surely bike gangs such as the Hells angles etc have become a bit of an issue. They have used the law to their own advantage and got a little bit out of hand with the violence, drug selling, extortion and general fear tactics etc. As of this week here in Qld it has now become illegal to ride in a group of 3 or more bikes on a public road. (which of coarse is stupid because a lot of the bikie members roll around in utes/pick-ups etc these days) All of the bike clubs which are commonly recognised as outlaw clubs have been declared criminal organisations. Any member of one of these clubs will receive a bonus mandatory 10-15 years non parole jail time if convicted of a crime, on top of the crime sentence. Administration members get a bonus 25 years.
All vehicle number plates are tracked by mobile units and fixed cameras for the purpose of identifying criminal activity.
Now all of this will be challenged in the Federal high court, and most likely most of it will be squashed, but the time it takes to get a case into the high court can be over 2 years and much longer if the system wants it to be.
Now this is not the first time that this has happened here in Qld, we only have one house of government and the judicial system is supposed to be independent of the political system (fucking stupid idea) and the 2 keep each other in check. Back in the late 70's and early 80's it became illegal to be in a gathering in a public place of more than 5 people, otherwise its was deemed you are protesting. Because we had a pseudo premier (dictator) who couldn't really handle pubic opinion of the way he was doing things, all protests were deemed illegal. (uni students it seems were a problem at the time.) The point is you should never take your liberty and freedom for granted, things change constantly as new lunatics come into power. It happened in Germany, it happens here, and it can happen where you live at any tick of the clock. Never be complacent about your position in life and where you live. As we have seen in the US The tea party ( will somebody do something about Sara Palin pls, man that women is a head case), just tried to hold the world to ransom. It can happen anywhere.
Of coarse the obvious solution to being arrested for riding in a group of 3 or more is to deny knowing the other individuals above 2, and most cops are not going to enforce it in the name of common sense and bogging down an over crowded judicial system anyway. But still it is the law.
Dero
Bugger. But hard to deny we know each other when we are both riding 851s in Queensland Griff haha!!! Just make sure we go really fast and split any pack of riders before the blue flashing lights go on.
Wonder how many 'group' of bikes heading to Phillip Island for Motogp will be pulled up?
At least we don't have to worry about registration labels anymore, common sense at lastπ

Aw mate it gets better. Bikie only gaols. Yes you and your mates get to go to your own special little place. Woodford has a special division where you get no gym, no tv. one hour walk per day, basically in the hole for minimum 15 years. Or if your really lucky they have extra special accommodation further inland where the weather is just starting to be "lovely". I think they are trying to tell them, be like mad dogs, get treated like mad dogs. Lebanese boys will be pissed off, they only joined the fun in recent years.
Old mate Bevan is having a hoot. He uses the same drive way as the Harly work shop. The one the Bandito's use. He reckons he has had to go up el presidente to ask him to move his car so he can get out. Funny as hell. "Come on mate, it will only take a min". "grunt". "Mate gota go you know. Stuff ducati's ya know". "Grunt......huh...fuck..c###... Yeah.." "Mate..gota go" "Rrrr grunt" and then this huge evil really scary tattooed demon lord from the very pits of the nether world who's probably organising the next drive by, goes and moves his car proclaiming he f###ing off anyway. Like a side scene in a Cheech and Chong flic. π
But strangely there were none about this week.
Just lucky we don't have the death penalty. Could have open season on any one with a tattooed head riding a bike wearing a denim jacket outside a leather jacket. Pity about the helmet bit, miss out on moving targets.

Now I'm pretty "liberal" but scum sucking, bottom feeding, back patch wearing, bully boy biker gangs don't rate highly on my sympathy scale...
It's a good job I'm not the Benevolent Dictator of where you live Griff, because I'd be upping the production of Zyclon B, (Google that one if you don't know what I'm alluding to) Back patchers/Hells Angels have spoilt many parties that I've attended in the past.
I also know for a fact that they're bike thieving scum...AKA the lowest of the low in my book.
If the Police in your State have 1/2 a brain? They'll know who this law is aimed at and leave the normal/decent bikers alone.
Some of the Police where I live aren't that bright but they can work this one out.π
I live 15 miles from a ferry port to France and Spain, a few years back the ferry company banned bikes of more than 10 years old...
The local bad arse back patch scum had spoiled a crossing for decent people, now there's a surprise?
Any way the local non "Outlaw" bikers protested, not to sure how effective this was? But...
When I wanted to get across to Le Mans for the 24 Hour Bike race on one of my old Ducati's, along with a group of fellow Italian bike owners, I phoned them and the answer was it wouldn't be a problem as it was only a certain type of motorcyclist that they didn't want...
Job done!
Scum suckers 0-1 Decent folk/bikers...I'll call that a result mate.

In my book decent bikers ride together for SAFTEY. we look after each other. We stop if another biker is having problems. We chat with complete strangers on bikes. Hell we even talk to Harley owners (occasionally...if no one else is looking.... well they are V twins....oh alright) Jeezze what are these people smoking.....More power to the save the whale lesbian bus shelter preservation society lesser spotted armadillo lovers...NOT
I despair at the legislators mind set (at four big big fingers of single malt at this stage...need to go to bed...!!!
Keep the faith,

We'll one week on and all seems to be going along rather swimmingly according to somebody's plan. Bikies have tossed in their colours, claiming to have given up their evil ways. Club house's closed. Bikies running for cover interstate. Arrests made. However.....
Rumour has it that the cops on the ground have be told to up hold the law to the letter of the law or be suspended with out pay. (Which is an effective way to motivate people I guess). So they have been. The fun part is the government hasn't told the bikies how they become not bikies. A lot of arrests going on, and the occasional mishap. A guy with a sons of anarchy t shirt spent 4 hrs in custody waiting to find out if TV shows count as association. Another guy with a rebels belt buckle, is looking at 15 years.
Many Harley's have been impounded and are destined for the crusher, along with a many others that got pulled over by the road side inspection teams. Anything post 1989 with a cat removed or making more than the EU standard noise, or number plate not at 45 degree to axle, or doing over 140 kph, have been impounded under the Hooning act for 48 hrs ( that's all termi's basically.) and if they find association, it's off to the crusher.
Not surprisingly the cops are a little bit nervous so have requested personalised full body armour and automatic assault rifles as standard fit. The premier has declared the last dictator a political hero, and the Attorney General is the youngest politician ever elected to parliament.
All sounds just a bit too much like a Batman movie to me at the moment.

Ah Griff - might as well send the bikes in the shed off to the crusher now and save your self the risk of being thrown in the bikie only prison that they are planning to house all those they catch. π

Calm down and carry on
Don't worry griff. There's a simple solution.
All you need to do is confirm with the Police how close the bikes have to be to each other to constitute a group. Is it 10,50,100, or 500 yards? Once you know, simply tie the bikes together with string 10 yards longer than that distance, and keep the string tight between each bike. Then they can't do you π
