"Sometime yesterday a hacker used a recently discovered vBulletin "exploit" (i.e. security weakness) to upload and modify one of the forum files related to displaying general notices.
Last night they then added a notice that redirected you to a website supporting the Syrian Al-Assad regime. So every time you requested a forum page, the notice was included and you were forwarded on to their chosen website.
I have removed the notice that was causing the problem and plugged the security hole that allowed them to change it using the latest advice from the forum software providers vBulletin."
