Nibbling Mice
I recently removed the dust cover from my SP5 which has sat in the corner of my garage for many years to find that mice have had a nibble at the foam surround of the clocks.
Mdina have a replacement, however its the wrong colour. I can obtain an original from Hungary, but not exactly cheap for what your getting so I contacted the previous posts link to Easyfoam and sent them some pics of what I was after- they cannot help with cutting me the item but can supply the foam, it was suggested that Closed cell polyethylene sheet EFP30 would suit my needs if I were to make it myself.
Ive removed the clock binnical, then the clocks to get the nibbled foam out- easy enough to do.
So my question is, has anybody been here before? I intend using a foam hot knife to get the new foam to fit.
If im happy with the finished item, there will be enough foam left over to make some more if anybody is interested.
If it all goes tits up, its Hungary.
