Took the SP3 to a track day at Sepang on Friday. This one has the tuned ST4S engine in it, and unfortunately it broke the plastic crankcase breather towards the end of the first session. A bit of smoke when I got back to the pits and some oil on the back tyre, so I was lucky not to bin it. The rev counter and temp gauge lost power after a couple of laps. Chugged home in a cloud of smoke. Now that I have degreased the bike, I can figure out which part of the combined ST4S and 851 harness went wrong. All part of the fun of home made bikes I suppose.
My new GoPro worked well apart from the sound which crackles and then stops.
To prove that things happen in threes, my Brutale blew the main fuse twice when I tried to take it back for the rest of the track day.
The first couple of laps, best to turn the sound down to avoid some nasty crackles.
