I am not sure it was simpler then ... tache or no tache. If yes tache did you trim it to the lip or go for the goucho mex look? Flares or no flares? Wedge shoes or loafers? mmmmmm. Or join up in the marines and have all decisions of fashion unloaded from your shoulders! This years TT is a belter, freight train antics at record speeds on bikes that dont break and great camera coverage. Bring on the Manx gp!

It does seem like yesterday, you're right... if I recall, you could just wander around the start line, 'chat' to the riders - imagine!

Maybe it's those "rose coloured spectacles", but we would regularly fill up on madras in Heysham, try to sleep on the sticky bit by the bar on the 01.00 am Steampacket and then 'ride around' until the morning cafes opened... for the return of the madras 😁

You were there - nothing else mattered!
