Better pictures of my Tricolore - Any brothers and sisters out there?
Brief History and Spec.
Birthday 15/03/88 - 851-S-Kit sold in Italy
Imported by UK dealer 31/08/88 and put into road trim
Moved in with me June 2006 from the last owner for 16 years as a birthday present to myself cos I dreamt of having one since the days of two stroke screamers, Ducati singles, Triumph Bonnies and Honda 500 4's 😯
Total mileage just under 8,500kms. Sitting virtually unused for some years.
And then...Complete mechanical overhaul and new bank overdraft 😡 (dont panic every single original part is stored in case somebody wants to put her in a museum one day, me I want to ride her every day)
Conversion from Marvic wheels and original 280/260mm fully floating discs to:
Spiegler 320/240mm rotors, later M1R sliders fit bigger discs. Maxton front fork rebuild - new springs, damping with adjustment (handling totally transformed at the front) Marchesini 3 spoke goldline wheels (Laverda?) and lightweight sprocket carrier, make new rear spacers/sprocket alignment/caliper mount + 888 swinging arm to fit. Dump slick tyres and fit Corse's for the road. Dump heavy steel sidestand mount and fit later alloy with switch + now I can ditch the suicide stand retract and have a red warning lamp on the dash if the stand is down!
Stash the original inverted cone megaphones and 60mm open race cans in oil n wrap.
Replace huge GRP hugger with carbon + Sil Motor 50mm open cans for the road
Take off huge ugly heavy GRP front mudguard...hope to get a nicer one soon!
Bit of a fiddle with the airbox and 😄 😄
Running like a clock such a mover for almost 20 years old
And summer is here

Somebody must make an overlay for the 270kph speedo to convert to Mph or have a speedo for me?
Better have another expresso and go to work now

Great looking bike 😎 As for the speedo , My kph speedo was way out , 55 at 70 mph according to the police rider following me on my Bikesafe ride , So I just fitted an SS speedo and all seems OK strangely enough 😳

I have a extra speedo, Bought all new gauges. The only thing it has a ding on the ring. Jimmy
