Not only a 1000 euro's but they sold in the blink of an eye. 😯
It's not like they were Billet Race items? As far as I could see they weren't any better than the standard fitment from '92 onwards to the road 851/888's.
TBH if you need anything better than the Goldlines fitted to the late road going Strada's and SP's, you should be a professional racer.
The Goldline's on my '92 are good enough to have my eyeballs almost popping, when really hard on them.

True, those calipers had the same piston sizes as the standard road calipers. But they are made of magnesium.

I don't believe that's the case. Back in the day I think Slater Bros. said something about them being magnesium, but there is nothing that backs that up. The ones at my house are just as heavy as other Brembo calipers. They are a little narrower due to the lack of the outer road grime piston seal. They are pricey because they are scarce, and Pantah era race bike builders will kill for them.
