Just been exchanging a few emails with a bloke called Rob Murray. Steve, he was giving it some about the same time you were, did the race the bevel around and did a few F1 TT's. Nice bloke.

Rob Murry bought the Sports Motorcycles '77 TT bike, (that was robbed of the F1 victory when the race was shortened) he used to often write articles in the DOCGB mag' DESMO.
One of the guys I shared an apartment with last week at the TT has recently been in touch with him.
I met him once many years ago, I seem to remember that he had a stable of racing Ducati Singles as well.
Larry Swann used to do the gasflowing/engineering work for a lot of Ducati specialists back then, it was at his workshop that I got to see various parts of Rob's ex Sports'/Genuine NCR motor, inc' the Pantah valve angled bevel heads, the motor was completely shagged when he got it.
