Well at least the female half is used on the Corse's. The male end is screwed into the tank with the male on the right containing a check valve. Sorry if I am repeating what you already know.

The cheap black plastic ones from M+P or Demon Tweeks are CRAP don't waste your money or time.
I bought some so that I could temporarily "T" in an inline fuel pressure gauge, for setting up the fuel pressure on the adjustable regulator and they leaked BIG STYLE...
I got my money back and bought some more CPC ones, I've been using these for over 10 years on my 851/916 without any problems so far, but they're looking a bit stained/old now.
Pablo Pirate on here has some what look like stainless steel ones on his special, I'd like some of these as I feel there's less chance of them failing than aging plastic ones.

As far as the male part goes, the straight-through connector (part number 81410311A) is still available from Ducati (at least it was when I bought mine recently) but the non-return one (part number 59320031A) isn't. I used a straight-through connector on both sides of my tank and standard road-bike non-return valve plumbed in inside the tank.

Is there something we need to know, have you acquired some carbon...?

You really want 8mm or 5/16 ID couplings.
The white plastic CPC are pretty good, it's just that I'd prefer alloy or S/steel ones as they would be pretty bomb proof.
I've known plastic parts like banjo's on Carbs fail after years of use, but never heard of a metal one failing.
IIRC? The plastic ones on the 916's etc were prone to failure and a lot of owners replace them with metal ones.

We're all on a budget at one level or another mate, but just a few £'s extra over the price of the CPC plastic ones may save your "Pride and Joy" from going up in flames.
So to my mind the small amount of extra expense is probably money well spent, £20, £30 or £40 for a pair of bomb proof fuel couplings against the cost of the bike?
It seems a "No Brainer" to me even if they (hush my mouth) weigh a tad more than the plastic ones. 😏

CPC make the same connectors in metal as well as plastic. Be careful as some of the CPC connectors sold through the aftermarket do not have the shut-off valves built into them. Just check out the CPC website http://www.colder.com/ and then order what you need through one of their distributors.

I have had the original plastic connectors on my factory 1993 bike, and have never had a problem with them. I do recommend using viton (green) o-rings on them instead of the Buna-n o-rings that come on them from the factory

I give the oring a smear of vasoline every time I disconnect them. Never had a damaged oring.

Had a plastic male fitting fail and dump most of a tank of fuel over the hot engine once. I prefer the metal fittings too Steve.
