851 Tricolore numbers - kit and strada

As far as I understand it, 207 851 Tricolore kit bikes were built with 207 sitting in the museum at Ducati HQ. How many Tricolore Stradas were built though - anyone have an idea? Am I right in thinking there were 50 Lucchinelli replicas built too?

How many kit bikes are still in existence, worldwide and in the UK, anyone know?

I have a tricolore strada that I have owned for 13 years.Sorry but it does not get much use now as I have a 996sps and others.

I understand there were 200 (ish) kits and 300 (ish) Stradas built, which sold sluggishly.
Lots of them going straight into collections and a few to the track.
My bike was bought new by the Mercedes Benz racing department- I bought it off an ex employee who said they were thinking about building a V12 48 valve desmo and got the 851 in to check on the only comparable engine in the world. Project dropped, test bike sold to affore mentioned ex employee for a pitance (I have the invoice 😯) needless to say he made a good profit when I handed over when I picked the bike up . . .
Not a bike I was crazy about when it came out, but it was more than grown on me and I love it's idiosyncrasies. (spelling !?)
I'm determined to get the best out of it over the next couple of years, use it like it was planned to be, because I don't see any sense in museum bikes unless they get a good thrashing once in a while . . .
The Luchinellis were indeed the 'very special racing' version, but it seems few of them made it to the races too- one just sold (extremely quickly) for 30,000 pounds which I think was quite reasonable, considering the others go for a little less than half that.
It's impossible to say how many still exist, there are still plenty around, mostly 'sadly' unused.
They seem to be the 'unusual' member of the marque, best thing to do IMO would be to get out and ride it and enjoy it.
