Hello all.
I have some problem that some one might be able to help me with. I am playing with my 851. It has a S4r (996) engine and 916 / 16m electronics.
I am using the original 851 green top feed IW031 injectors. The problem is that the EPROMS that have been starting with are all based on the green side feed injectors. The result is that the lower the voltage is, the leaner the engine runs as it looks like the dead time at different voltages is not correct due to the difference between the different injectors. The problem is big when I am standing at the traffic light, with idle, lights on and cooling fan running. The idle mixture jumps from about 13/1 to 15/1 and the bike more of less dies. As soon as I switch something of and the battery voltage goes up it recovers. The leaning out of the engine is very linear and follows the battery voltage exactly. As an info I have removed the ambient air trim and also the engine temp trim environmental trim totally and also relocated the temp sensor to eliminate any temp related problems.
I have done some measurement on both my S4 and my 851 and both generators supplies the some voltage at idle, the difference is that om the monster the ECU is compensating for it and on the 851 it does not, or it does it in an incorrect way.
If some one of you are using tunerpro? In the XDF file that you are using for 16m, can you adjust the injector dead time per voltage? Do you know where it is located in the bin file as I need to be able to change it to be able to sort out my injection problems.
Thanks in advance and best regards.
