What did you do to to get the silver cases looking so nice? Can you please tell in detail as I want my SP3 motor to look like that - it'll be getting rebuilt soon so if I need to do something first I'll do it.

Bike is looking good Scott, as for SL great bike also Marvic split rims finish them off, I sold mine to a chap from Belgium he and his Duc technician stayed overnight and we communicated preety well considdering but I do regret selling that one but then i regret selling most of my bikes, except my Triton that bike broke my back but it did look good

Cheers Paul, although this seat does stop the nut cracking effect!, original seat pad and bum pad in hand.

I use a big girlie Corbin seat pad on my '92 851/916 bike, but I didn't fit the bum stop pad.
It's really (apart from the oil cooler) the only part I've fitted that's actually added weight to the bike.
It's bloody comfortable over looong distances though, (over 500 miles on B roads) witch's a lot more/better than could be said for the OEM seat pad...
Numb bum and real pain or a girlie seat pad, I've already stated which I chose. 😉
