A couple of bevels in the shop

I had to take some pics of these old dunga bevels that are in the shop at the moment for 2 reasons. 1 The NCR replica just to get a few ideas for when I bastardize the S2 even more, to a squishy tail NCR rep. And 2 the Mike Hailwood because of all the bikes I've seen over the years this thing was the shiniest bike I've ever seen, and its got 79000 km on the clock. Sorry about the quality but I used my phone. Bloody hell it was shiny. Amazing how well some people look after their machines.

Real bikes for men with spanners mate*, I note that one of them has poofy airfilters...😉

*Although obviously the owners of those two don't know how to use them, if they did the bikes wouldn't be in a shop!

The more I see ncr bevels the closer I am to trying to find one... I used to think they look cumbersome but its growing on me ... doh!

TBH most of them are home builds and have all the problems that go with it. I have built several when i worked with John at "made in italy motorcycles", my advice would be get him to build one to your spec and you will get a bike better than new.

You can scratch build a genuine NCR, with all the new-old parts that are available today. Circa79 here will even do the real thing frame. Funny thing is the cost, about the same as buying the old real thing, but you get a new bike. Problem with the NCR frame, no center stand, so no coffee shop stuff, unless you have a mate willing to drag around a paddock stand for you. 😄
Love the pic of the green frame, looks like the one in my shed still....😄 personally I wouldn't own one. Much better ride out of a late model SS

Steve, its because they are bevels that they ARE in a shop, probably needing an oil leak or two fixed 😄 whereas if the owners had SP4's they WOULD be out riding them!

Actually they are just in for road worthy certificates for change of state registration. Sorry to disappoint, but both run fine and don't leak. Which is more than can be said for British bikes of the same era! 😄
