Project completed with lots of help from the 851/888 community. While this isn’t for a Ducati a lot of the parts are from Ducatis. I removed a set of 8051 Ohlins forks from my RC30 and installed these Ohlins forks, Rick at Cogent Dynamics rebuilt the forks completely. Mark T and Mike C spent a lot of time researching what they might have been on without any luck. Marvin J fabricated the axle spacers, fender mounts and caliper mounts. Here are few pictures showing off Marvin’s work. All these guys were a huge help. Rick must be the best vintage Ohlins guy in the US, he replaced every o-ring (about 10 in each fork) and seal in both the 8051 forks and the custom forks. Mark and Mike spent hours going over old photos and Marvin did some great work. If you need suspension or fabrication work these are the guys, and they are members here, support them.
And for those of you that read between the lines, yes I will a freshly rebuilt set of Ohlins 9051 forks for sale next month after I confirm a few things with the new forks.
