SP4 polished pipes

My Sp4 just had a service and I decided to have to have the pipes polished. Here's a cool picture.

I got them from Ferracci. I know they have a couple of sets left, but this is the only color available. It was a risk putting them on, but they look fantastic. They are so cool looking. I think I paid $435 or something like that. Beautifully machined. Worth every penny IMHO.

They're not listed on the Ferracci website. Get their number from the site and call them east-coast time. I can't remember the sales person, (some guy), but he was real helpful, unlike their website which is useless if you send an email. Also, they have a couple of girls who handle parts, and they have been quite helpful. Any problems, PM me. I'll be curious. Also, as the $ is in total free-fall, it's your gain.

I see you've mounted the pegs😄
Looks like the brake cylinder has to be mounted differently...
Could you upload some more detailled pics?
What were your mounting problems?
Any changes or new brake lines?
Does the cylinder touches the frame?

I notice you have only three bands showing on the top of your forks. How do you find the handling with this set-up? My forks are set to the fourth band down (see pic.)

My bike tends to turn in quite tightly with this fork position, but I'd prefer a more neutral feel. Where does everyone else have theirs set? Third or fourth band?

No real problems. I did replace the rear brake line, but I already intended to replace all my lines before I did the rear sets. There were no real mounting problems and the cylinder clears the frame. Thanks.

A more neutral, lazy feel Steve, which isn't a bad thing. Feels very stable and a little easier to flick. Still hard work though, but more planted than my 996 SPS and that's saying something.

Did you have your cans repacked as well? I was just wondering about the bands that are riveted on each end of the can.

No, the cans are still the original ones and untouched, so are the bands. I just had the bolt changed. I'll post a picture later tonight to show you.
