wgsvintage Does anyone know the following for a Kit, I can't find this info in any of the manuals or books I have: 1. The standard free length of the rear shock between the mounting bolt centers? 2. The baseline or standard position of the rocker adjuster and the two rod ends at the bottom of the hoop. Good photos of these on a bike that you're sure has not been set differently would help here. Thanks, Bill
guy851 Shock manual Hi I posted the manual ages ago so I hope this helps. Strada and Kit had the same Marzocchi shock without the remote that was fitted in 1989 Centres are all the same I am sure Guy851 http://www.ducati851and888.com/duo-shock-1.pdf
wgsvintage Thanks Guy, unfortunately the manual doesn't give the eye to eye length for the o.e.m. shock. I'm rebuilding the hoop and rocker off this ex-Adamo racer, and trying to figure out why their adjustments were set where they were. On the hoop, the rod end jam nuts were removed and the rod ends were wound all the way in, making the hoop as short as possible. So, I was wondering if the Fox shock that was on it might be longer than the o.e.m. one. Bill
wgsvintage I'm still hoping someone out there with a Kit would be willing to take and post photos of their hoop rod ends and the shock end of their rocker. I'm assuming the o.e.m. shock length is 330mm. Thanks, Bill
wgsvintage All other 851 and 888 including SP's are 330mm...if that helpsYes, thank you. I had finally remembered to use the "Search" feature here, and that's what was being said. The Fox shock that was/is on it was set at 330mm as well. Bill
