sp2 boy wroteOne of the benefits of working with carbon is that it generally knackers electrical powertools within a year.
The benefit is that you then get a new tool from the retailer and another 12 months warranty....I've just got my 3rd oscillating cutter with fresh tools and I only had three days before the guarantee was up. That was a close shave! 😎
My US Navy General Composite Repair Manual, in relation to Drilling, Reaming and Countersinking Carbon/Epoxy Composites, states ... "Carbide drill bits are limited to no more than 30 holes per bit. Bits which exceed this limit must be either resharpened or discarded" .... and "limit holes reamed to no more than 10 per reamer. Reamers which exceed this limit must be either resharpened or discarded"
Good publication - shows you how to repair F-A18 Hornet wings which have delaminated or been the subject of rocket fire damage.
I have it on PDF.
