fuel filter pre '92

I found an alternate fuel filter, NAPA Gold 3482 which works on the 90-91 bikes with the big filter. It's not the exact size as it's shorter and just a little less diameter, but it does fit in the clamp if you bend it a little. Some cross-ref part no.s are Fram f33165, Purolator ff4506 though I haven't used those.

Sorry for not entering this comment sooner. Yes, you can go with the NAPA filter, or if you take your time and are diligent, you can find one of the OEM Webers for sale. Just found and purchased one this winter. Thinking about pulling the tank off (Agh!),draining the tank, installing the new filter along with sending the injectors off for cleaning and balancing here in the next few weeks.
Hope this helps.And on this note, i bet I've seen 3 or 4 of the Weber units come up on Ebay within the past few months...

you can also get it as a ufi part, forget the number now, but readily available on ebay.
