Mr.R wroteIf Peter can't/hasn't got the time to make one, why don't you just cut down an original shaped Carbon one, if that's what you want?
Personally even with a full sized one I feel there's more than enough shit that gets by it to pepper shock*, so can't see the point of a cut down hugger?
The difference in weight can only be measured in grams if it's made from carbon.
...and I'm pretty anal when it comes to saving weight on my bikes.
*I recently ran my '92 without a hugger for a few weeks after an accident, the amount of crap thrown at the shock was "Shocking" to say the least! 😯
Then after repairing the full sized carbon hugger and re-fitting it, this crap was cut down by a huge amount, fitting a cut down item would seem to me like a 1/2 way house, as IMO it's only going to stop around 1/2 of the crap hitting the rear shock.

To be honest I am not sure that the short type would have enough demand to warrant making a specific set of new moulds...I am not a fan of how it looks but if enough people showed interest and put deposits down then I would make the moulds for it.
Steve's suggestion (Mr R) is a good one in that if the shape is basically the same why not cut down a large one to give a shortened version?
At the moment I am really busy trying to finish off the Corse rearsets, a few orders for a couple of people (sorry MarkT about the delay) and get one, possibly two bikes kitted up for the Golden Era Superbikes with all spares package...so I have plenty on at the moment and do not want to take on any more projects in the next couple of months...sorry!
