I suspect the previous owner wasn't fastidious in looking after this machine.

Any suggestions as to the dash facia, as in replacement. And the rectangular section over the idiot lights is rather crap too. Instruments I can refurb.

Late model SS models had the same dash Tony - (oil temp instead of water), prob best source for facia (the foam decays with age so most look f*ck*d by now).

Have seen some nos on ebay, you could of course fit one of those classy c/f covers over it to hide it!

You can buy that foam in different durometer and thickness from suppliers like mscdirect.com. I bought some a few years back thinking I would make the foam surround to go along with the alum. dashs that I made but never got around to making the rule die to cut them out.

Oddly enough, the foam was in good shape and cleaned up well. The instruments were a bit crap so I opened them up, gave them a clean and the needles a coat of redpaint, repainted the bezels and reassembled. Funny glass, isn't it?

Why not Pete you could also make those classy top yoke covers although Tony wouldn't need it as he has got a lovely set of mag yokes see being sarcastic again.

You work to bloody quick Tony its like one of those cookery programmes here is one I prepared earlier I would still be having a fag working out what to do and how to do it!

Any chance you could Marvin about to use your lovely dash on the bike was going to fit without.
