I had recently acquired a spare clutch case side cover that was in need of a refurb and and had also came across RSbikepaint.com that was offering matched paint for the side case/frame etc.
Ordered the side case dark bronze as per most '94 spec ducati's and the light bronze frame paint in touch up size.
Cleaned up the side case painted it up and laquered in RS paint's recommended satin laquer and it looks nice.
However its a slightly darker shade of bronze compared to the oem stuff on my 888 strada. But if your planning on a repaint of all the dark bronze bits then I suspect only a concours judge would be bothered. The difference is much like a brand new bottle green scouts shirt compared to a slightly aged washed out one, which as my oem cases are 17years old they may have faded with time too.
PS the frame touch up is a good match for the light bronze that ducati used.
