Jimmy told me he was going to make a Corse section. I guess I will stick my Corse Trivia and project progress here.

Since we lost so many pictures perhaps we could start putting Corse pictures here.

I will start with a '93 which I will be working on this winter.

Marvin was poking me--- At the moment it does not have a full Corse motor or the correct wire harness. I am rebuilding a '94 Corse motor this winter and have a wire harness ready to install.

I am thinking we could divide this section up into--- Corse bike pictures(with and without bodywork) with any info the contributor knows about the bike in the picture,--- Corse trivia (or a better name) where we show pictures of Corse parts like air boxes, swing arms, throttle bodies, giving the year the part was used,--and---- perhaps a parts trade/buy/sell section.

I think it would be great to have this section as a reference for anyone buying/or restoring a Corse. I think it will also be useful to owners who want to make a track bike or add Corse parts to their 851/888.

Any other thoughts on this?

Sounds good to me, and having finnished my example see below earlier this year Iam sure this section will be of benefit to others.

Hi Scott-

I will ask Jimmy if there is a way to transfer past pictures into a Picture Section within the Corse heading. A Trivia Section that would be used to get deeper into specific parts would be useful.

I think Jimmy can split this up. Also as we provide pictures I envision some text explaining what it is and year. Additional info like history of the bike-past riders and how much is Corse would be helpful. Hate to think a forum member sees a street part in one of the pictures and believes that the part is original to a Corse. A bit of narrative would prevent wrong parts becoming gospel.

Yours will be an easy write up- '94 Customer Corse gold standard.

The pictures of bikes can show detail close up shots as well as the classic side beauty shots. In the Trivia section we can go into deeper detail about specific parts.

Funny thing is that I've got a genuine Corse rad' on my non Corse 851/916cc bike, it recently got a bit knocked around when I was knocked off the bike and for a fraction of the cost* of a 'Pace' rad I can get it rebuilt like new.
* For £300 a UK firm will straighten it out and re-core it.

Hi All & Steve

Here below is the original radiator as you all can see its twisted.
At the time I tried various radiator specialists in the UK no one apart from Pace had done one before.
As I knew two or three previous people that had Corse rads from them it seemed the way to go, its a fantastic job although the depth is 10mm more.
So Steve Iam very interested and Iam sure others would be too so please let us all know how you get on.

And here's the magician who built it up !!!
I was invited by himself and spent few hours in his workshop in May.
I was lucky enough to discover his old notes about the 851/888 era !!!
He's kept everything tidy !!!

I painted the inside of the Corse mag' waterpump housing with machine gun barrel paint and use Motul factory line mag' friendly coolant in my bike, NO sign of the dreaded mag' eating worms since I did this a few years back now.😎

P.S A good mate of mine in the bike trade reckons that £300 is a rip off, saying that they only charge that much to repair them because they know how much new ones cost.

I see that the front wheel seems to be a street version along with wrong discs and early type Ohlins...but was this not discussed and concluded in an earlier post? I cannot remember the final outcome or conclusion.

You got me there Steve-- I have never seen a Pace- is that an English rad company? I had noticed the sides were not standard but thought the rad had been fixed with new sides since they get pretty caved in when crashed. It is amazing how twisted these rads can be and still function. On one of my track bikes I used a NOS rad and attached it with thin zip ties so in a crash it would break free and not get twisted. So far I have not been able to check if my theory is correct. I am glad yours is still functioning.

Hi Mark,
Pace are an English comp' that make top quality bespoke rads/coolers etc, their prices are also top draw.
