I get back to UK next month and I am thinking about heading across to see the Le Mans 24 hour endurance ( Motorcyles) on the weekend of 24th / 25th of Sep.
I normally use the Portsmouth ferry and stay at my house about 2 hours from the circuit until race day and stay up to watch the racing thru the night. Back in time for tea and medals on Monday or stay as long as you like? Any one fancy the trip let me know... I am also happy to go a few days earlier and take you on some of the best bike routes in Europe!

I'll be popping over from Calne on the previous Tuesday and back on the following Tuesday via Portsmouth - Le Harve (cheap), I'll be on the 1000ss for this one though.

hope you are not camping for a week! pm me your contact details and lets get together over there? I may ride down with you for a bit from Calne if I haven't already gone over... It will make a nice change from the April chills we normally get. Hopefully. 😄

Just a thought ... there is a trackday at Le Mans Bugatti circuit on the 15th of September that has spaces left. Now that may be worth the trip, its 279 UK pounds but for the chance to ride that circuit on the same trip as seeing the 24 hour I think its money well spent.😄

Nice idea but I'm off to Belgium for the weekend with the UK Monster Club, although I have done an unofficial track there already about 25 years ago. Having arrived early to watch practice and sat around with members of Cheltenham CID in the evening one of their crew found a way on to the track. So without a moments thought about 6 of use did several laps just as it became dark. Great fun but seeing 150 on the start/finish straight was tricky not knowing where the turn in point was for the right hander 😯 It's surprising how little light there is with all the stands etc in the dark.
